Before you start
- Applies to. Claude on the web and the Claude desktop app. A connector belongs to your Claude account: add it once, and it is in both.
- Plans. At the time of writing, Anthropic's help centre lists custom connectors for the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Free is limited to one custom connector.
- Role. On your own plan you add the connector yourself. On Team and Enterprise only an owner can add one, and members then connect individually.
- In Dienox. You need an account in your organisation, and an administrator invites you. Dienox is in beta, so your organisation joins the beta first.
Plans and menus change. Anthropic's own page on custom connectors is leading.
The steps
On a plan of your own:
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Give it a name, for example Dienox, and paste this address:
https://dienox.com/mcp - Click Add. Dienox is now in your list of connectors.
- Click Connect next to it. Dienox opens in your browser.
- Sign in to Dienox, pick your organisation and click Allow.
That is all. Go back to Claude and ask something about your organisation.
What you can ask now
Ask what you would ask a colleague who has been there for years. Claude reads the knowledge base when the question needs it, and names the source.
- "What did we agree with that client in June?" What was agreed, when and by whom, with the decision it came from under the answer.
- "Who decides on a discount above ten percent?" The person and the role, from what your organisation wrote down about who decides what.
- "Write the reply to this customer the way we would." A draft in your own voice, from what the knowledge base says about how you sound.
When something is settled in the chat, Claude can write it back, if your role allows it. Then it is there for the next person who asks, in any tool.
Does your team share Projects in Claude already? ChatGPT company knowledge or Claude Projects? puts a Project next to one source for every tool.
For a whole team
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds Dienox once:
- As an owner, open Organization settings, then Connectors. Choose Add, then Custom. If Claude asks what kind, choose Web.
- Enter the name and the address, and click Add.
Each member then connects their own account:
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Find Dienox in the list, with the label Custom, and click Connect.
- Sign in to Dienox, pick the organisation and click Allow.
The owner connects their own account the same way. Every colleague needs their own account in your organisation on Dienox before they connect.
If it does not work
- Dienox is not in your list of connectors. On Team and Enterprise, an owner has not added it yet. Send them this page.
- Your organisation is not offered when you sign in. You need your own account in that organisation on Dienox. Ask an administrator there to invite you.
- You are on the Free plan and already have a custom connector. Anthropic limits Free to one custom connector.
- Every connection is refused. An administrator of your organisation has switched AI access off in Dienox, and can switch it on again.
The same knowledge in your other tools
Whatever you connect next reads the same knowledge base. What was settled in a chat here is there in the next tool, for you and for your colleagues.
- Connect ChatGPT. As a custom app, published once for a whole workspace.
- Connect Microsoft Copilot. Through Copilot Studio, as a tool on an agent.
- Connect Cursor. As an MCP server, with a personal token.
Every tool side by side: connect your AI tools to your company knowledge. What the address you add does, and what it cannot do: the Dienox MCP server.
Questions people ask
Which Claude plans can add a custom connector?
At the time of writing, Anthropic's help centre lists custom connectors for the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, with Free limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise only an owner can add one, and members then connect individually. We last checked this on 1 October 2026. Anthropic's own page is leading.
How do I use Claude connectors?
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. A connector that Claude does not list, such as Dienox, is added there as a custom connector: give it a name and its address, click Add, then Connect, and sign in. From then on Claude uses it when a question needs it. Anthropic's help centre has the details per plan.
What data can Claude access through the Dienox connector?
Through the Dienox connector, Claude reaches the knowledge base of the organisation you picked when you signed in, and nothing else of Dienox. It works within your role there: administrator, editor or reader. It cannot see another organisation. The answer comes with its source, so you can check where it came from.
Does it work in the Claude desktop app as well?
Yes. A connector belongs to your Claude account, not to one screen. Add Dienox once, on the web or in the desktop app, and it is there in both. You sign in to Dienox once for that connector, and Claude then reads the same knowledge base wherever you open it.
